We offer exceptional products at a competitive pricing. We sell all types of lighting products for both interior and exterior options for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Whether it is a single item purchase or a large quantity of fixtures, we can most likely meet your needs. We welcome contractors looking for great lighting options to fulfill that design build electrical project. DELIVERY

The goods will be delivered within a reasonable time after the receipt of sale subject to availability of finished goods and full payment has been received by the seller. Seller shall not be liable for any delays, loss of damage in transit. Most items ship via common carriers; UPS, USPS, and FedX Ground. LTL Freight may be used to ship larger items. Sher Lighting & Design will cover shipping costs on standard size partials (in its sole discretion).

Oversized packages will have shipping costs attached and is the buyers responsibility. Large products typically require a loading dock and/or forklift. Any products shipping by freight truck on a pallet require a loading dock or forklift at the delivery location to unload this shipment. All equipment and manpower to unload palleted freight are to be arranged and is the responsibility of the buyer. Seller is not responsible for cost of any kind incurred for large or palleted shipments. The buyer is responsible for providing an address that these carriers recognize as a deliverable address.

Unfortunately, we have NO control over a shipment once the package departs the facilities. If there are any issues with delivery for reasons out of our control (address which is provided to us that is not accurate, issues within the shipping Company, etc.). we are not responsible for shipping delays. We are not responsible for errors made by the shipping carrier, such as delayed items, damages, or lost packages. We are not responsible for delays in shipping due to acts of God that are out of our control, such as epic snowstorms, natural disasters, or any other extraordinary circumstances that cause unforeseen interference with carrier routes.

If an exchange is desired, all shipping costs incurred for such an exchange are to be paid by the buyer.If for any reason buyer fails to accept delivery of any of the goods on the date fixed pursuant to seller’s notice that the goods have been delivered at the delivery point, or if seller is unable to deliver the goods at the delivery point on such date because buyer has not provided appropriate instructions, documents, license or authorizations: Risk of Loss to the goods shall pass to buyer; The goods shall be deemed to have been delivered; And the seller at its option, may store the goods until the buyer picks them up, whereupon buyer shall be liable for all related costs and expenses (including, without limitation, storage and insurance).

Regarding any non-delivery claims, the quantity of any installment of goods as recorded by seller on dispatch from seller’s place of business is conclusive evidence of the quantity received by buyer on delivery unless buyer can provide conclusive evidence proving the contrary. The seller shall not be liable for any non-delivery of goods (even if caused by seller’s negligence) unless buyer gives written notice to seller of the non-delivery within 2 (two) days of the date when the goods would in the ordinary course of events have been received. Any liability of seller for non-delivery of the goods shall be limited to replacing the goods within a reasonable time or adjusting the invoice respecting such goods to reflect the actual quantity delivered.

Special or expedited shipment requests such as next day, air, or other, will be accommodated in the best way possible, with the customer paying for all charges plus a flat fee of $175.00. Buyer shall be responsible for all loading costs and provide equipment and labor reasonable suited for receipt of the goods at the delivery point. Seller may, in its sole discretion, without liability or penalty, make partial shipments of goods to buyer; although it is the sellers goal to ship complete shipments to the buyer whenever possible.

All freight claims for damages, breakages, or shortages whether obvious or concealed must be filed with the carrier immediately. Shortage claims must be submitted to Sher Lighting & Design within 2 days of delivery. The company will not honor claims beyond that. A photograph of the received packages with damages or missing materials must be submitted within 2 days of delivery. No Labor costs will be approved without prior notice of a received package of goods that are damaged or missing parts that effects installation within 2 days of delivery.

Inspection and rejection of goods: Buyer shall inspect the goods upon delivery within 2 days of receipt. Buyer will be deemed to have accepted the goods unless it notifies seller in writing of any non-conforming goods during the inspection period and furnishes such written evidence or other documentation as (reasonably) required by seller.

Non-conforming goods means only the following: Product shipped is different than identified in buyers purchase order or product’s label or packaging incorrectly identifies its contents. If buyer timely notifies seller of any nonconforming good, seller shall, in its sole discretion, replace such nonconforming goods with conforming goods or credit or refund the price for such non-conforming goods, together with any reasonable shipping and handling expenses incurred by buyer in connection therewith. Buyer shall ship, at its expense and risk of loss, the nonconforming goods to sellers facility (Contact us at sherlighting.com for address). If seller exercises its option to replace nonconforming goods, seller shall, after first receiving buyers shipment of the nonconforming goods, ship to buyer, at buyers expense and risk of loss, the replaced goods to the delivery point.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

All requests to return product must be submitted to Sher Lighting & Design via orders@sherlighting.com and accompanied by proof of purchase information within 12 calendar days. If Sher Lighting & Design has authorized a return, a standard 35% restocking fee will be applied on any product returned for credit or exchange and the costumer will be responsible for the return freight cost. A 35% handling charge subject with a minimum of $100 will be levied on all fault free goods returned at the buyers request.

Sher Lighting & Design will not accept any unauthorized returns; the Company reserves the right to return said goods received for credit, where no fault has been found with the returned goods. In this case, Sher Lighting & Design will be entitled to levy an additional $50 handling charge. All returns are subject to Sher Lighting & Design inspection and approval. All returns must be properly packaged and shipped to protect the value of the returned products. All items must be returned in a salable condition, packed in the original box with sufficient packaging materials.

Sher Lighting & Design reserves the right to deny warranty coverage or issuing credits for any damage on returned product caused by failing to pack or ship properly. Upon product return, Sher Lighting & Design will issue credit for the qualifying items that are returned in approved condition back to the approved credit card used at time of purchase. Sher Lighting & Design will not accept unauthorized returns or freight collection returns and will return those at the buyer’s expense. Destroy in field (DIF) credits will be issued at the sole discretion of Sher Lighting & Design. Sher Lighting & Design will advise in advance of those situations.

WARRANTY STATEMENT

THE FOLLOWING LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY APPLIES ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF THIS PRODUCT AND IS NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Evidence of original purchase is required for warranty service. Sher Lighting & Design will assume no liability for indirect, incidental, consequential damages of any kind; or liquidated damages arising out of a breach of the sale. Any assistance Sher Lighting & Design provides outside of the terms and exclusions of these warranties will not constitute a waiver of the warranty terms and exclusions, nor will such assistant revive or extend the warranty. The determination of whether the product is defective shall be made by Sher Lighting & Design in its sole discretion with consideration given to the overall performance of the product.

ELEMENTS OF WARRANTY
Sher Lighting & Design Warrants (for the specified time period outlined below for each individual product category) to the original purchaser, this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under intended normal use, subject only to the limitations and exclusions set out below.

FLUORESCENT PRODUCT LIMITED WARRANTY
Sher Lighting & Design warrants that the product, when delivered in new condition and in its original packaging, will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original purchase.

LED PRODUCT LIMITED WARRANTY
Sher Lighting & Design warrants that the product, when delivered in new condition and in its original packaging, will be free of defects immaterial and workmanship for a period of FIVE (5) YEARS from the date of original purchase. An LED product shall not be considered defective solely as a result of the failure of an individual LED. The product will be considered defective only if a total of 15% or more of the individual LEDs in the product fail to illuminate.

STATEMENT OF REMEDY
In the event product does not conform to this warranty at any time while this warranty is in effect, Sher Lighting & Design will repair or replace the product at Sher Lighting & Design’s sole discretion. The limited warranty set forth above is the sole and entire warranty pertaining to the product and is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties of any nature whatsoever, whether express, implied, or arising by operation of law, including, but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty does not cover or provide for the reimbursement or payment of incidental or consequential damages.

PROCEDURE FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS
Before you return your product for a warranty claim, contact your Sher Lighting & Design customer service representative for complete shipping instructions and to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. And product returned for warranty repair must be delivered freight prepaid in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection.

THIS WARRANTY IS EFFECTIVE FOR PURCHASES OF PRODUCT ON OR AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE SET FORTH BELOW. SHER LIGHTING & DESIGN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THIS WARRANTY FROM TIME TO TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. ANY MODIFICATION OF THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE EFFECTIVE FOR ALL ORDERS PLACE ON OR AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE REVISED WARRANTY. EFFECTIVE DATE: JULY 10, 2018

 

PAYMENTS

All payments for goods are through major credit cards: AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVERY and DINERS CARD.

Shipment of all ordered goods will be shipped once payment has been approved. Buyer will receive an acknowledgment via email from Sher Lighting & Design prior to shipment.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AN ORDER SHIPPED VIA STANDARD SHIPPING?

Shipping days may vary depending on location, shipment method and other factors, but we have found most orders are received in within 3-7 days. Larger orders may take longer, but we do our best to get product to you as soon as possible.

IS SHIPPING COST INCLUDED in my order?

Sher Lighting & Design will cover the cost of standard shipping on most of their product line except for oversize fixtures and expedited deliveries, which is the buyer’s responsibility, unless total order value reaches $3000 before taxes.  If orders are requiring a loading dock or forklift, arrangements by the buyer must be made prior to shipment

IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE THAT SHER LIGHTING & DESIGN IS A CERTIFIED WOMAN OWNED COMPANY. DOES YOUR COMPANY WORK WITH CONTRACTORS LOOKING TO MEET THEIR DIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN CONTRACTS?

Yes, we work with contractors to provide lighting and other electrical products to help them meet their diversity commitment. We can do complete fixture package take offs and also provide lighting lay outs when needing to be sure that the required lighting is met. We provide a wide range of interior and exterior fixtures, but if you don’t see what you are looking for on our site, we can probably find it for you. DOES SHER LIGHTING & DESIGN HELP WITH LIGHTING LAYOUTS AND CUSTOM FIXTURE DESIGNS?

Yes, we work with customers to custom design light fixtures. Our design team is very creative and can also assist with fixture ideas and build an end product that is exclusive to the customer. SPECIAL ORDERS

2-8 weeks lead time. Please call sales representative for price. Sher Lighting & Design will provide fixture quotes for large lighting projects upon request. Buyers who purchase light fixtures from Sher Lighting & Design may request a complimentary lighting layout to ensure a proper lighting solution. This complimentary lighting layout is solely at the discretion of Sher Lighting & Design.

The following items are NOT returnable… All sales are final: Custom Items (Fixtures made specifically for buyer), Special Order Items (Medical Grade, Prison Grade or Clean Room), Discontinued Items or Obsolete Items.

IS THERE A RESTOCKING FEE FOR LIGHT FIXTURES?

Yes, there is a 35% (before taxes and a minimum of $100 order) restocking fee. Contact to customer service within 2 days of delivery to receive reimbursement.

ARE THE LIGHT FIXTURES COVERED BY WARRANTY?

Yes, please read the Warranty Statement on the website. All products sold on our site are covered by warranty.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PRODUCT IS DELIVERED DAMAGED?

Inspect the package upon delivery and take pictures of damaged package or any missing materials inside package. For the damage, contact the shipping carrier right away. For missing materials, contact Sher Lighting & Design via info@sherlighting.com within two days of delivery to report missing materials so we can take care of the issue immediately.

AFTER PURCHASE, IS THE LABOR COST INCLUDED FOR INSTALLMENT OF LIGHT FIXTURE(S) PURCHASED FROM THIS WEBSITE?

No, all electrical work is the responsibility of others. We supply light fixtures only.
